Unless it's brand new, it may not be so bad. I got my windshield replaced on my 2007 Volvo, and it was amazing to see just how pitted the old one was once compared to the new one.

Yeah, it's going to cost me around $200 to replace it. There were already some bad chips in it and one major chip from hail a few years ago. Tryin to stay positive here haha

My guess is the window was ready to crack, and the sun heated up and expanded the car roof and expanded it, causing the cracked windshield.
